Knauf Insulation acquires Australian Building Foils
NEWS RELEASE
(BRISBANE, Queensland, 2 April
2009) - Knauf Insulation, one of the leading and fastest-growing
global insulation manufacturers, has completed the acquisition of
Australian Building Foils Pty Ltd. (ABF).
ABF is a manufacturer of reflective foil insulation products
which is based in Mansfield, Queensland, supplying a wide range of
products including housewrap and sarking.
The acquisition is part of Knauf Insulation's worldwide strategy
to offer market leading energy efficiency solutions for buildings,
and provides the opportunity for the company to develop insulation
solutions specifically for Australian climatic conditions, which
can also be combined with other Knauf Insulation products such as
glasswool, rock mineral wool and plasterboard.
Customers of ABF will benefit from the acquisition by having
access to other Knauf Insulation products such as glasswool batts
and rolls.
