Buyers prefer new homes with insulation on smaller blocks

Newshub.co.nz has reported (12/11/2016) that data is showing that Kiwis are opting for newer homes on smaller plots.

Homes.co.nz has found that buyers are willing to pay more for new homes on low-maintenance, smaller blocks.

Busy people in the inner city are choosing new homes with double glazing as standard and great home insulation.  Mowing lawns has become less appealing.

Jeremy O'Hanlon from Homes.co.nz said that there is a new focus on the "quality of homes" rather than having a large backyard and quarter-acre block.

If you are lucky to own your own property, it means you could be sitting on a goldmine.
