Knauf Insulation is pleased to announce an extended distribution agreement with Carters for the introduction of a new brand of glasswool that will replace the EcoInsulation glasswool brand stocked in Carters stores nationally since 2019.

Effective from 1st December 2024, the Carters network will commence a transition to “Knauf Insulation” branded glasswool that is scheduled to be complete by 31st March 2025. In the interim, Carters will continue to supply EcoInsulation but there will be a progressive increase in the stock and delivery of “Knauf Insulation” branded glasswool.

With both Knauf Insulation glasswool and EcoInsulation glasswool being produced by Knauf Insulation with ECOSE Technology, the range, quality, certification, and leading sustainability characteristics of Knauf Insulation branded glasswool will remain unchanged – and below are images of the new product packaging:

The new Knauf Insulation glasswool range will provide Carters with simple and cost-effective compliance with the H1 regulations, and both Carters and Knauf Insulation are in the final stages of a marketing launch of Knauf Insulation glasswool with a focus on the development of specification resources along with marketing to highlight ease of handling and installation.

Following the acquisition of Ecoinsulation Systems Ltd in 2019 (as part of a trial to offer installation services to Carters), the Knauf Insulation business in New Zealand has decided to adopt a strategy to concentrate on the manufacture of glasswool and not offer installation services. As a result the EcoInsulation assets will be divested in New Zealand.
